Day 242: Ultimate Mondays

As if a weekend full of softball wasn't enough, there's also the usual Ultimate Monday, although this game would be the closer for the summer season.  More after the break.

Game started a bit earlier than usual, due to the shorter days.  Fine by me as it means more light for me to shoot in.  QD would be playing against a team from earlier in the season, sans one of their core players (see Day 207, second photo, right).  Couple that with the improved play from the Quick Dumpers and you have a formula for QD not getting pulverized.

Perhaps the only thing getting pulverized were Albert's endzone attempts, pictured in the two photos below.  He would eventually make several successful grabs towards the end of the game.

Despite being under the weather, Hazel showed up regardless to offer support and hugs.

Coach Lawrence dishes out a block against an opposing player.  I imagine the other player wasn't successful because he was too slow or too short, but rather probably more or less due to the glove.  Well, that's what Lawrence would probably say anyway.

Danielle makes a wonderful diving grab towards the end.  Yours truly is too damn slow to react and only gets the landing.

QD caps off their season with a win.  Certainly a farcry from the previous season.  Most of the team will also be sticking together to play in the Fall, so there will be a few more Ultimate Mondays before this blog is over.
